While working on a parking lot for the First Federal Bank of Wisconsin in Waukesha, Wolf got a call from the business next door, Cramer Law Offices. Their asphalt parking lot also needed some love and after watching Wolf work on their neighbor they decided to ask for a quote. After their case had been evaluated they were given two options to consider:
- Remove and replace the entire parking lot
- Place an asphalt overlay over the existing parking lot
The removal and replace option had the caveat of unknown stability of the base underneath, which would lead to a higher cost. While constructing the lot next door it was discovered that the base underneath the parking lot was unstable and had to be removed.
In the end, they decided the overlay option was the best. Wolf brought in a milling machine to provide smooth transitions at the asphalt edge. Then, Wolf placed a 1.5” overlay over the existing asphalt. After everything was nice and smooth Wolf restriped the parking lot.
The owner was very satisfied with the final product.
